An MTV article described that melodic section of the chorus well by calling it "throwback to 80s pop." With that in mind I felt a little better about it, but I agree; the chorus is my least-favorite part, but whatever. 18 more tracks on the album, one of which I cannot WAIT to hear and have a feeling will be a massive hit (Edge of Glory, as it's been described as having sledgehammering beats, and features Clarence Clemmons of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band on sax at one point).
