I left high school at a very early age because I was admitted to a university to study music. I thought it was what I wanted to do for my future, but after a while I realised it really wasn't for me. Music was always meant to be a hobby, and being forced to do it was pushing me in to hating it. My grades were low and I was feeling pretty miserable. Unfortunately, I wasted around 2 years before I realised things had to change. Since then I have switched to a different degree, something I considered would build a good future and is to my interests. I am enjoying it very much and my grades have moved up to excellent. I do not regret my decision one bit. Don't let your fears about your mother keep you from being happy, as you're not going to be your best if you continue how you are now.
