As a Scanian, I personally do NOT think we need more channels. Giving us more channels is just a temporary fix, and is counterproductive to the initial aim of server mergering, which is to balance out the server populations.
All servers have their pros and cons, and right now, Scania's works something like this:
Pros: Lots of people to play with
Cons: Because there are lots of people in the server, it is overcroweded, leading to lack of training maps, crowded bosses, etc.
Lets say you give us an extra 10 channels. All that does is take away the con of joining scania, leaving us with "Scania, a server with lots of space, and lots of people to play with". Why would anyone even consider joining Demethos then, when Scania has everything Demethos has PLUS more people? If anything, giving Scania more space will make Scania even more crowded.
When I first heard of a server merger, what I thought was happening was like...an inter-server buddy chat, where you can talk to other people. The one thing that has kept me from changing servers (at one point, I had seriously contemplated moving to Windia) was that if I moved to Windia, I would be leaving behind many friends that I wouldn't be able to talk with anymore. If I could move to say Demethos, and still be able to talk with my scania buddies and see them log on, then changing servers would be a lot more plausible.
I also like the idea of having 10 channels to yourself, and 10 shared channels, as that would definitely, for myself, encourage me to change servers, as that way, I can still train and boss with friends from the old server while being in another server.
