Guys, if any of you got a real calculator in which you can write a whole expression before hitting "=", I invite you to write these two expressions on your calculators and come tell me what they say:
48/2(9+3) and 48/2*(9+3)
Mine gives 2 and 288, respectively.
That "2" in front of the parenthesis works as a coefficient, therefore the whole expression is considered the denominator of what comes above it, the result is different if there was really a multiplication sign in there.
PS: I'm not sure if people are discussing this seriously or just trolling around since this is the funhouse... I'll stop here.
