He has naturally (insanely) high hp already so hp items aren't that vital, especially early-mid game.
Not true at all. The only counter to true damage is HP stacking. Also based sheerly on his base stats cho can tank extremely well early - mid game with just RoA and feast stacks. Zhonya's is expensive and there are much better items to select. It isn't over hyped it's extremely useful. Also coming from someone who rushes zhonya's on one of his char's I can tell you the armor is not as great as you make it out to be. No cho will get zhonya's hourglass idk what you're saying. Also what are you talking about? Higher Hp is VERY useful early-mid game the hell? I think you have forgotten his role.. Anyways zhonya's is not a good item to rush if get at all on him nothing you say can change that.
EDIT : IMO he should be getting either RoA or Aegis (this if his team is relatively squishy to make them have a bit more survivability and damage).
