Where do you date?

He got a job offer in another state right after we graduated college. I wanted to stay home and take care of my mother. She had ovarian cancer and I was not about to leave. He offered to stay with me but I didn't want to hold him back. The job offer was amazing and too good to pass up. We tried the long distance thing but it wasn't really working. There were weeks that I didn't even hear from him. About six months later, he called and said he met someone else. It was on the same day as my mothers funeral. I told him that I was happy for him and that I wished him every happiness and I meant it. That was the end of that.

Wow. That is the most baw-worthy post I've read here on SP, how tragic. :/ Sorry to hear about that. Yeah, lol.. long- distance never works out unless two people are either extremely strong in willpower (who am I kidding, it's almost impossible), or they're nuts. Never worked for me. Gets really stressful and hectic, and actually, a friend of mine just broke up with her long-distance boyfriend for another guy, and I could understand it from her point of view, eh.
