It's a relatively recent addition (sometime in 2007? That's when mine was done) I don't think Geanie used to work at all, but now it gives you that quest.
Incidentally, 14 event quests = I can never be on this list, lol.
Going back a while, but these opening Bera quests don't seem to have made it into my Quest completion book
