We should, and are able to. We just do it in a Pineappled-up way. The metric system is WAY better. Seriously, were the people who designed our system retarded? Systems of tens, and to go from one section (say, milli) to another (centi), just multiply by ten to go to the next largest section, or divide by ten to go down a section, vs. screwed up sections, completely un-specified number of measurements in a section (12 inches in a foot, then three feet in a yard, whatever number of yards in a mile). Metric is way better. (And this is just the length measurements.)

PS: By section, I mean, like, grouping of measurements. say inches, millimeter, feet, meters, ect.
