Dear women,

I would like to apologize. I think I might be partly to blame for this. Today I watched a video on anorexia nerviosa, and it literally shocked me. I knew the effect on those suffering under it were bad, but I never knew and saw evidence such as was presented in the movie. I say I might be part to blame for this, since not once have I thought a normal sized woman was "fat" and would much rather prefer a girl that looks like a supermodel skinny. I realize now how daunting of a task it is to overcome self esteem issues related to image. I pledge, from now until my dying breath, to watch what I say in regards to women and their image. I will also, if the future allows me to be in a position that could warrant such power, to do my best in trying to stem the tide of this way to widespread and dangerous disease.
