What kind of American/Canadian do you speak, eh?

Yankee comes from the American Revolutionary War. People who lived in states that supported the revolution were called yankies or somethign along that line. If I wasnt more tired I'd remebermore of it.

Dixie comes from the American Civil War. Dixie being a term used for that states that seceded from the confederate states.

Guess I'll have to Wikipedia everything since I have absolutely no knowledge in USA history.
