Got 9/10 on the Canadian quiz. Never heard of the term "hoser" before.

Double-doubles are overly sweet (I usually get 1 milk at Timmy's); poutines are gross/unhealthy and I only hear seniors use the term serviettes. I was working at an A&W and some old lady asked for a serviette and I asked her to repeat herself twice before I had the courage to ask her wth a serviette was.

Yankee comes from the American Revolutionary War. People who lived in states that supported the revolution were called yankies or somethign along that line. If I wasnt more tired I'd remebermore of it.

Dixie comes from the American Civil War. Dixie being a term used for that states that seceded from the confederate states.
