With the people I play with and against, you'd be lucky to get four people (by using Flash), and chances are good one of the people you didn't get has a fast hard CC.
And in terms of reaction time, I'm not sure about others, but as Morgana I can block Ashe's arrow with Black Shield if I expect it coming. And by that I don't mean putting it up as a safety, I mean putting it up when I see it with just my own LoS.
But by all means, if it works for you right now, go ahead and do it.
