Nah that's just the translation being weird. It's the same requirement for the SP reset as always (have an empty inventory slot, only 1 per character, the item expires, etc.).
It seems quite a few Warrior skills were changed. Improved Fundamentals now is "Physical Training" (increases strength and agility), Power Guard became "Power Reflection" (it seems to store the damage you take and then reflect it back), MP recovery now is "Self Recovery" (allows you to restore HP and MP every 4 seconds, even during combat, or something like that). There's also "Advanced Final Attack" which has a cool animation(same color scheme as Intrepid Slash), and it increases the damage and probability of Final Attack.
