You only get the crack quest once a day, even though you can enter Pap's room twice a day.

Then they changed it to one-of-a-kind, and I suppose they thought that "solved" the "problem" of people soloing twice a day.
Recently they must have noticed it wasn't solved. Maybe it was the noise the high-level community made about sources of exp, including Pap. Nexon saw that people were still farming cracks and selling them in stacks, and people were still able to solo twice a day.
They tried to "fix" it themselves by making cracks untradeable. A simple change, just one flag, they thought they didn't need Nexon Korea to help with that.
The results were as we know them to be.
Now, they don't want to just change back, because we would be going to back to solo Pap twice a day (those of us who could be bothered to go from LHC to Ludi for it, anyway). So I expect they are now waiting for Nexon Korea to come up with a more complicated solution, such as change Pap to expedition form that you can't lead more than once a day (and incidentally prevent people from entering while others are inside)?
All speculation, I know, but that's how it looks to me.
Look, I've been thinking about the exact same. If they've made so many changes to those cracks in these years then it means they're trying to do something, possibly to avoid us from entering twice. In fact, I started thinking they were trying to avoid us from doing something since they made them one of a kind.
But, if that was the case, they could've just made it so that instead than twice a day, the portal script only allowed you in once, which would've really been the easiest solution of them all.
I don't quite get what they're trying to do.
