How much of an impact would that have on their patch schedule? Maybe they'd just have to change the version number of the next major patch, if even. But they usually don't change version number for bug fixing patches so it's not even that.
Changing a single string isn't difficult. Releasing a .patch file just for that (and possibly other small bug fixes) isn't difficult.
Really, I don't get them.
