As for having faith in the word of a company, Nexon's gained my trust before, broke it, and never attempted to make amends towards it. The whole issue here is, people think they're participating in this "event" by donating to Japan through cubing-sprees, when failure to read what Nexon worded is what has been constructed otherwise. It's their misunderstanding, but it's also faulting Nexon as they to provide a more accurate and transparent message to directly set across its consumers.
Good for you, I'm proud of you for donating as much as you did. Really. If I had a job I would donate more but all I can donate is $20 through my phone via text.
Could they have been a bit better at spreading the message? Sure they probably could have, but the fault has to go to the person who doesn't read it. Also if they are unsure of what they have just read, they could check one of the various maple fansites, or even the nexon forums themselves, to find out what does and doesn't apply. It could be worded differently I guess, but to me it seems pretty clear, and all I'm saying is at least they are trying to do something nice.
