The Disaster in Japan, How We Can All Help

It's the part that says WHICH items aren't benefiting the japanese is essentially in fine print. It's not overly emphasized, it's cryptically written to some degree and it's completely absent from this notice. The reason they've neglected to really shine a light on which items aren't helping is because they know people won't rush out and buy NX if they do. Which means they won't make any extra money. This way, people go out and buy NX, buy cubes and stuff and think they've done something to help Japan when they haven't.

Kalovale what you said previously made me kind of sick; that it's okay for people to think they're helping even if they're not, because it's NOT. Sure it'll make you feel good but it's not doing a damn thing to help those who are homeless and desperate over in Japan right now. So yeah, Nexon is happy, we can be happy with our purchases and believing we did something good, but the people this whole thing is about aren't any better off for it.

It's worse that you're trying to rationalize this with "they have to make that money back somehow!" That's not how charity works. What they should have gotten out of this was some goodwill from the customers but anyone who isn't completely blind shouldn't be falling for that with what they're doing with this sale. They can get me off their back right this minute if they want by posting this damn image in their notice

because then they've done their due diligence in making sure everyone is aware of where the boundaries are. But they haven't and that's pretty disgusting.

edit: Kalovale I don't even know which side of the fence you're on! Each post seems like a flip flop. Please clarify.

I honestly do not see a difference in this and when you said that you'd rather see Nexon donate 5% of their entire revenue from one date to the next.

In fact, I'm pretty sure this makes the donated money more than what that 5% would be.
