Fire Demon or Mana Relfection?

The way I tested this was against Pianus. Once Pianus put Magic Guard up, I threw on my DOT skills and spammed paralyze. No DOT damage shows up, just my 1, 1, 1, 1 from the paralyze... we all know that... but also Pianus's life gauge didn't move. If I didn't spam para, the DOT damage numbers appear, and then after several seconds, once I hit pianus with any skill, the life bar would move, indicating that the damage was done. To me this was pretty clear cut, and I put a halt to bothering with DOT skills against bosses while using paralyze.

Now, this was all before the Aftershock (sheesh what an unfortunate name) patch. I've been in love with my Evan with the addition of LHC, so I haven't touched my f/p in awhile, but maybe someone else could test this to be sure.

This is all solo stuff, and I haven't tested anything with fellow attackers.
