I wasn't acting superior at all, it seems to me like you're just being overly-sensitive. I was just suggesting a better means of donating to make sure they actually get your money without any catches.
I completely agree with your concern. Just because someone says they want to donate money to some releif effort doesnt mean that they will. I learned this lesson from 9/11 were only a small fraction of the money ever reacted the families.
We dont want to believe that people can be such selfish oppertunists, but history shows that many people are and they can and will do it again.
