The Disaster in Japan, How We Can All Help
#64
I don't understand why you guys always have to look at the negative side of everything.

Let's look at the post a bit.
Quote:Dear Nexon Community,

All of us at Nexon would like to express our deepest sympathy to those affected by the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan last week. As a global company, many friends, family members, and fans of Nexon have undoubtedly been affected by these tragic events. It seems that every day, the scale of the disaster is growing, and were very concerned about the health and well-being of those that have gone days without food, water, and other basic supplies. To do our part in the global relief effort, Nexon will donate 100 million Yen (approximately $1.2 million)to aid relief agencies that are helping those affected by these devastating events.

Okay, they're donating $1.2 million dollars. That's great. Absolutely great, they're donating more money than all of you guys preaching here in Southperry combined.

Quote:We would also encourage you to help those in need in Japan by donating directly to the following aid agencies:

The Red Cross
International Medical Corps
The Salvation Army
Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres

Hey look Sarah. They're encouraging to remove the third party too.

Quote:You can also help from within your Nexon gameplay experience. In addition to Nexons donation, from March 14 through March 20, Nexon America will be donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of many of our in-game items to the Red Cross for the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami disaster relief efforts.

Beginning today, Monday, March 14, through Sunday, March 20, 2011, Nexon will donate all proceeds from the sale of the following in-game items to the Red Cross' Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami relief effort:

All items save those in the Cash Shop's GAME category

Okay. They want to donate more. That's great.
Now look at it from a business perspective. You're giving away money for 6 straight days. In those 6 days, you have stuff to pay and you're losing the money to manage the servers, pay workers, make up the money they're donating, pay for electricity, land usage, etc. Yet, they're still trying to help as much as they can.
