That's such a sensationalist bullpomegranate headline. The article written of pomegranatety second hand sources. The article that that aritcle used as seemingly it's sole source was written using second hand sources by a New Yorker who is currently a graduate student for theater. It's literally second hand second hand sensationalized sensationalism. This theater student hack essentially writes the same type of stuff for every story. http://news.change.org/authors/roxann-mtjoy

Want to know some basic details? Attempted feticide, which is a crime and has been ruled in federal as well as state courts to not violate legalized abortion laws and rights, is a felony. Hospitals are obligated to report crimes. Because of the situation or something this woman said, hospital staff become suspicious this was her intent. The hospital is legally compelled to report this as with any other crime. They did the right thing.
She was not arrested for thinking about abortion, which she evidentially told one of the nurses she had thought about it, likely raising suspicions about her accident; she was arrested because she was suspected of feticide which is once again a crime in Iowa (among other states). She was never prosecuted.
I'm pro-choice. I am however opposed to illegal, back alley, and at-home abortions or attempts at such. Trying to take something like that into any hands that aren't professional in nature is just idiotic. I think feticide should be a crime in all 50 states. I also think Christine Taylor is not guilty of it.
Most of all though, I'm just disgusted at how this issue was twisted.
