The number of people reluctant to donate likely exceeds the number of people who are doing it by their own free will. This added incentive is a good way to get help to Japan even with Nexon profiting from the act; it's still better than nothing at all from the reluctant group. I'm sure some people who have been on the edge about whether or not to mass-buy cubes and gach will be more motivated to buy now. Take that motivation away and Japan gets nothing while Nexon still profits in the end, on way or another. But I'll be sure to nominate those who donate out of altruism for Saint.
