It should still be pointed out that BV stops most spells in their entirety before they can affect you (usually), while QSS only lets you selectively dispel debuffs at any given moment. Given that good human reaction + server latency (50ms ping) is roughly .3-.4 seconds, it can still mean the difference between life and death. Besides that, normally you don't make use of BV every 30-45 seconds anyways, unless it's in a standoff situation.

--Cho'Gath's Feast does significantly less damage now, but in exchange it scales better. Round of applause, as an 800 true damage nuke was too much. Vorpal Spikes now have higher base damage and higher AP scaling. His viability still remains imo.
--Irelia has received base damage nerfs on her Equilibrium Strike and Transcendent Blades, as well as nerfs to her base HP and MS. She may no longer be as much of a menace in lane now, but now she's even less so during team fights. Also, Equilibirum Strike scaling went from 1:1 to .5:1, meaning AP Irelias will have a hard time doing much. This also makes it easier to itemize against her.
--Lux's Prismatic Barrier can now save more lives. In return, her spammy laz0rz scale slightly less. Personally, I would have vouched for a somewhat higher cooldown if there was a problem with it.
--Maokai got buffs all around (I wasn't aware that sapplings had a life duration). His ult took the direction of Anivia's.
--Singed is even less of a tower shover now: his armor scaling with level took a hit.
--Sion's base HP took a significant hit. Now he'll be easier to destroy in laning phase.
--Sivir's passive now works! lolololol
--Sona's passive has a rework. However, it doesn't quite explain how it is executed. I'm going to guess it's just an auto-attack that packs an extra something based off of your current aura. Also, her ult took the reverse direction of her nerfs in that she can spam it more often.
--Veigar has a new dance. OP NERF NAO!!
--Zilean received nerfs across the board. It doesn't stop his ult or his bombs from being super annoying, but at least we'll rest easier during laning phase. If you can rest at all.
--Banshee's Veil bubble has a 150% increase in its recharge timer. I think this is starting to affect its stupidly good passive during those standoffs that cause the game to drag on and on, which is good.

--Minions are now less OP vs. turrets, and cannon minions now spawn every other wave past 35 minutes. Bravo! 20 minutes was too soon.
--10% bonus exp for everyone when champions are in exp sharing range! This also means an indirect nerf to solo lanes and junglers.
--Zilean ulting an ulting Tryndamere no longer causes him to die like a regular wanker with GA. Haha, good times xD
TL;DR
--Beefy bruisers got a hit in general.
--Game design made games even faster, while making minions less OP.
--Some potentially game-breaking glitches got fixed. The invisible Pantheon ult and the mysterious loss of line of sight still plagues various players unfortunately.
