What do you expect a kid to do? Take a beating and not say a word or not even flinch? The kids who are bullying the child won't learn a thing. They can make the kid cry, they can make the kid bleed... they won't give a flying f'uck and this is how it was for me my entire life. No matter who the bully it was, it was the same story. The only way to solve your problem is to take your fists and start swinging away.
YOU may have learned differently through your own actions, but that doesn't mean others will do the same. In fact, it's a 99% guarantee that others won't learn that what they're doing is wrong.
