I have a friend over here in the States that happens to have a lover over in Japan, and she was crying earlier because she couldn't get in contact with her boyfriend by e-mail. She said the last time they were in contact was about 7 hours ago, and she just left Japan in less than a month or so ago. So she feels really bad about everything.
I don't have any friends over in Japan, so I can't really try to even relate to that.
You can just look at http://jp.msn.com and realize that. They're having earthquakes every couple of minutes, it seems. Small ones, but they're still big enough to be reported.
If you can't tell, they're the big notices at the top that are just like the string of text I posted before in Japanese.
For those who are curious of the Japanese earthquake magnitude scale : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan_Meteo...sity_scale
