He isn't quitting fully for the hell of it either. He found out he's had artery problems in his leg, and it affects his heart, so he's quitting to avoid what might happen in the short term and to extend anything long term. But like i said, i don't really think he will until he's fully off for a significant amount of time. If he starts back up again in the distant future for whatever reason, i won't really blame him either.
hope he gets better then, and who knows, smoking is a passive danger in a way that you don't really care until it's too latebut if something else is threatening you right now, well, more chances to react.
