Well... I recommend either getting TS or Comp. Both get replaced at 4th job, but it will make 3rd job more bearable and fun. Cold beam's a decent single attack, but TS or Comp either are better, especially if you're considering bossing.
I maxed TS and skipped Comp... Comp's a fun skill, but the points into slow make it worth skipping.
