Well, shrugging things off kind of has to do with your personality. We can tell you stories of what we did but that probably won't help.
You have to realize that even though he's saying stupid things and it doesn't matter at all. I know you realize it logically, but you have to really feel like it doesn't matter.
Like right now. If I walked outside to get the mail in my boxers, and my neighbors saw it, oh gosh it would be embarrassing. But then I'd go inside and it would be over, so I shouldn't care. Reality moved on.
