How do you do it?
Serious thread. I have this bullpomegranate impulse to take everyone seriously when they have something to say, and I take offense when they turn out to have nothing better to do than trying to offend me. How do I go about keeping my mind constantly reminded that I need to adopt the "yeah yeah, okay cool, now go away" attitude, or better, train myself to do that automatically?
I have spent enough time to conclude that all my grandpa says is complete bullpomegranate that is not only a waste of time but also breath to ever be uttered. Since I can't sew his mouth, I'll have to block my ears to save us both the trouble. It really is in the interest of both of us.
Wish I had Ultra Ignore in real life, sigh.
EDIT: Up until now, I have been suppressing my urge to retort his bullpomegranate with logic, like the urge you get when you see an anti-vacinnationist, but I figure I'm not going to be able to keep this up much longer. Reality dictates that he doesn't have that much time left either, I think he deserves a peaceful ending without much turbulence caused by my part.
