Instinct of perpetuation of species? Not in humans! At least not in all, or else there would be no celibate people, like priests lol. Unless you think celibacy is a disease...
Also, people would never consider suicide if that was true, and people who suicide aren't sick either.

So it's ok if someone forces the belief that polygamy is bad but it's wrong if someone forces the idea that polygamy is ok?
However, if you're right (and I think that to some point you are) women should think more before accepting to this kind of propositions.
But you can't talk for everyone, I'm sure there must be women out there who think that polygamy is ok. Even if it's a minority.
