Maplers, your quick reports and concerns were crucial to minimize the effect of the potion/food-selling NPC issue from long-term adverse affects on the economy. Unfortunately, some damage has been done and we must restore all MapleStory servers to 12AM this morning, a point during the scheduled maintenance. Because the issue was quickly caught this restore point will minimally affect our players.
All NX and Maple Points spent during the impacted period will be returned along with a 24-hour extension to Cash items. We did process name changes and world transfers during the scheduled maintenance and the restore point will undo the work. Players who find their name change or world transfer item expire upon logging in will receive Maple Points to repurchase the service. Additional compensation events will be announced later.
We do not have an estimate time when the game will be available again as we are working on performing all the tasks listed above. Once we confirm a schedule we will post it immediately.
Once again, we would like to extend a big thank you to the Maplers who were a big help in identifying the issue. Please remember if you encounter something fishy or suspicious with the game, report it immediately!
