Just deleting the mesos would not be a great thing to do, there are people that may have had their shops bought out with the glitched money (suppose a store full of very well scrolled armor) deleting mesos just hurts the person who had those items sold, they aren't going to get those items back just like that, while the person that may now own the armor comes out ahead.
Some folks may dislike the idea of a rollback, since they care so much about levels or finally cubing a good item, i feel a rollback would be the safest thing to do, it would not have a terribly bad impact on things since you can get your levels back, even though you "wasted all that time getting them", and people not having that great cubed item? It's not the end of your life, maybe a few dollars down the drain, but better than leaving large ammounts of mesos in the server causing prices to go up on many items.
