We're trying to get the "ultimate party" consisting of: Bucc, UA sair, paladin, bowmaster, shadower/mystery class, and an HS mule we can hopefully tele into LHC. We would have to stick to those alligators for a while but we'll move up to stone golems eventually. I think coming up with an ideal strategy for party combinations for a map is really important for fast exp gain and i've done that for my parties, though the whole thing is entirely theoretical obviously.
SaptaZapta Wrote:Making an optimal party for defeating some boss or pq (VPQ, DRPQ) makes sense. The profits can be used on/for your main.
But for training? The "profit" is exp, and that can't be transferred.
I want to level my Hero, so I'm going to LHC on Hero, even if everyone would prefer a Mech in their party. And my friend wants to level her I/L AM, so...
Making a whole party of alts who'll level really fast but do absolutely nothing for your mains, makes no sense to me.
I am in no way suggesting an optimal party be stuck to for training. Merely that the concept of a dream party should be taken more as a strategy that fleshes out the advantages of each class, rather than assembling classes to achieve dream DPS for the sake of optimal exp. Making a class shouldn't be based on ideal parties or how to be part of them. Making a class because you want to and forming strategies for it is how it should be.
