Yeah, apparently it was somehow "defeated".
They seemed to skip the Cygnus Instructors somehow (bug, maybe?) and, in the end, they got booted out and sent to town.
They either didn't expect anyone to be able to kill it so fast so they put a high limit for the anti-hacking system, or it's just a bug which doesn't allow the Empress to be killed. Or the anti-hacking system detected something wrong (such as Cygnus Instructors not being defeated) and it booted them out rightly.
Still, it doesn't really count as it's most likely a bug which allows them to skip the Cygnus Instructors.
Also, the video skips a good part of the fight.
