DustBunny Wrote:I just started this game and I'm kind of into it. The whole dungeon limit thing turned me off, none the less, I started as a brawler, and I'm kind of got a plan, I've been using some guild in the DoF forum, fortunately I'm only level 9, but I've at least learned what skills to cap lol.
Any pointers to accelerate my noob status, certain dungeons I should look into, any worth going back and redoing in harder modes, ect. ect. Also is money easily made in this game or is it like maplestory in that regard (2k when everyone wants 100's of mils)
Well..... Brawlers may have some trouble later on. The local guild Fighter extraordinaire is the only one with a 60 Brawler, which can be an indicator about the class, although by the same record there isn't a level 60 Grappler yet, lol. Have you looked into the other Fighter sub-classes, like Nen or Striker?
Tips I can give:
0. Pick up EVERYTHING.
1. Group up as many quests as you can for one dungeon. Also, do all quests except for event quests and quests from Albert that require you to PvP.
2. Learn to Backstep Cancel, and how to cancel your attacks (hotkey or command, whichever is better/faster).
3. Grind up blue gear, sell white gear for gold. Auction House is your friend.
4. Sky Tower is your training ground for the rest of the game. Make mistakes, learn from them there, and try to not get hit too many times. Sky Tower will also teach you to not just bumrush an enemy to death; make reasonable judgments for when to back off an enemy. If you can't eventually solo Sky Tower on Kings Road you either need to get better or this is just not the game for you.
5. When in fear of dying, use an HP potion. When getting buttraped by a mob of enemies, use an HP potion. Otherwise, converse those HP potions, since there's usually an HP fairy in each dungeon. Usually.
6. Sell Demon scrolls to the Auction House for money. From my experience, it's just not worth the trouble of gambling away 150k~450k (lowest level demon scrolls to highest level demon scrolls) for a small chance at a valuable piece of equipment. I know I scored a weapon worth ~18m earlier in the thread, but that was after using probably 4-6m worth of demon scrolls that could have been sold for money; as far as I know it could have also been a crappy blue equipment. If you are naturally lucky, then go for it.
7. If you need MP potions, Dark Tequilas are usually the best bang for your buck. For HP potions, a couple rounds of Drake's Nest with the Elven Drake Champagne quest is not too bad an idea.
8. You will hate Silver Night and 2nd Spine of Behemoth. A LOT. Try to get a party for those places.
9. Lastly, use DFOSource for the guides, just don't go there and be a serious forum member. There's a small group of smart people in a sea of bad ones.
