I feel as if I had heard of this a few years ago already, something along the lines of a spy mechanical bee, or maybe it was a bird, I'm not sure how challenging insect's flight mechanism is for today's science.
Regardless, you don't see many bees in a tightly shut conference room 34 floors above the ground; it's smaller, capable of flight, sure, but its disguise doesn't seem very effective.

The size is exactly the point. Most of the time noone would notice something that small. It doesnt have to fly around, just has to land somewhere and observe. I agree though, I have seen it before too and as I recall it was in reference to both a bee and a bird. RFID's were also on the table for spying.
