Super Smash Mafia: Brawl {GAME OVER: Challengers Win}

1. The game will cycle between night and day, beginning with Day 1.
2. Days and nights will last around 24 hours (may be longer due to being at school or other issues), except in certain circumstances.
3. The exact details in role and result PMs may not be traded at any point in time. You may choose to reveal results and roleclaim, but you may not quote PMs directly.
4. If you don't want to use your night role, please send a PM to me with the title "Night x - Idling" anyway. This at least shows you're paying attention to the game.
5. Lynch votes must be bolded. No Lynch is an acceptable vote. Please make sure that you unbold obsolete votes. In the event that no one votes, or it comes to a tie, there will be godkill.
6. There are items in this game.
7. Do not screenshot anything related to the game.
8. Do not talk about the game with or in front of living players while you are dead, unless allowed to by the host. You may still plan with your teammates if you're mafia, but only for the sake of planning strategies. In the event that you do, you may not use any outside information you may have acquired (e.g. contacting a friend, saying "I'm dead now, what's your role?", and then telling others is NOT okay).
9. Do not impersonate other players or me. You may not fake logs, including logs with me.
10. If you have any questions about your role or the game please don't hesitate to contact me. If I'm on IRC I'll be on #southperry. You may also PM me.
11. IRC is not required, but recommended. The official channel will be #sptown. (Please see the spoiler "About IRC" for specific rules regarding IRC.)
12. The game ends when the number of mafia players outnumbers the townpeople, or all mafia players are eliminated.
13. There are 20 players in this game.
14. Priorities are kept secret.
15. The mafia may communicate privately amongst themselves. All other communication must take place in the gameplay thread, the discussion thread or IRC.
16. The sign up thread will be turned into a discussion thread.
17. I will not provide a list of roles in this game.
18. I am allowed to add, delete or change rules at any time to counteract unseen balancing issues in the game.
19. Flavor posting is not required, but recommended to add to the fun of the game.

 The Story

For several years now, the Challengers have enjoyed playfully beating each other to a pulp in exhibition matches. Never have their intentions been malicious, and the skill with which they fought was marveled at. After every fight, the fighters would always congratulate the winner and give each other friendly tips.

However, for the past few nights hints of unhindered violence have surfaced. None of the Challengers knew who the cause was, as the attacks came seemingly out of nowhere. Conspiracy theorists have concluded that this must be the work of the Subspace, whose minions had been wiped out years before. The days grew shorter and the nights grew longer as suspicions grew out of the once-friendly Challengers.

On one fateful day, the Challengers converged for their usual dose of sparring. However, one of them was not there.

Popo, the Ice Climber, came alone. He always fought alongside his love, Nana, but Nana had disappeared the night before.

Who had done it? Was it the work of the Subspace? Perhaps.

 About IRC Usage

The Subspace Emissary are allowed usage of their own IRC channel whenever they wish.

All players will have limited access to the IRC channel. The IRC channel, #sptown, will only be open for one hour before each day/night ends and for two hours afterwards. At all other times, the IRC channel will be locked and no mention of the game is allowed in the Southperry IRC, with the exception of the Subspace Emissary's IRC channel.

All logs of #sptown will be made available in the Discussion Thread and posted in the first post.

Specifically, for Day 1, the IRC will be open once I get home from school tomorrow all the way until the beginning of Night 1. Following that, all IRC availability times are in effect.

 Dead Roles

[SPOILER=SuperMario64's Role PM]

You are Popo, lone Ice Climber. Sorry your love died, by the way. It was really tragic. Traditionally, you two fought together and were very effective; without her, you cannot fight. You just don’t have the will to, and frankly you suck by yourself. However, each day you may Vote in the gameplay thread, along with the rest of the players, to lynch a certain person. The target that gets the most votes to lynch will be killed. You win if all threats to the Challengers are eliminated.

[SPOILER=Corn's Role PM]

You are Brendan, the Pokémon Trainer. Because you are only ten years old (even though you appear older, and Lucas is most likely younger than you), you are not capable of fighting along with the rest of the Challengers. However, you do have your trusty Charizard But lo and behold, he has no PP! And there are no Pokémon Centers around! And you don’t have any Ethers or anything! I guess you can’t fight with him either. Oh well. At night, though, you may PM Infection with “SSMB Night X: Potion USER”. By doing this you will give that user a Focus Sash and a Full Restore. This will negate all night actions used on them and will block one kill action. However, the items are only effective for one night; after the day breaks, your target will discard any healing items that they have. You cannot give items to dead players. Be careful about who you give them to! In addition, each day you may Vote in the gameplay thread, along with the rest of the players, to lynch a certain person. The target that gets the most votes to lynch will be killed. You win if all threats to the Challengers are eliminated.

[SPOILER=KajitiSouls' Role PM]

You are Mario, the moustachioed frontrunner for the Nintendo franchise. Long days and nights of hoarding your friends for coins have left you tired and weary; as such, the most you can do is help the Challengers decide who to investigate every day. Each day, you may Vote in the gameplay thread, along with the rest of the players, to lynch a certain person. The target that gets the most votes to lynch will be killed. You win if all threats to the Challengers are eliminated.

[SPOILER=Shidoshi's Role PM]

You are Shadow Lucario. The influence of the Subspace has overtaken you and Shadow Bugs have infiltrated your body. Although a Challenger at heart, your alliances lie within the Subspace. Each night, you may PM Infection with “SSBM Night X: Aura Sphere USER”. Your target will die. With this at your disposal, it is your calling to kill all the Challengers. In addition, each day you may Vote in the gameplay thread, along with the rest of the players, to lynch a certain person. The target that gets the most votes to lynch will be killed. You win if the Subspace Emissary outnumbers the Challengers.

[SPOILER=ShiKage's Role PM]

You are Porky, a little boy in a big robot. Robot spider, I may add. You love crushing things. ______ has recruited you into the Subspace Emissary for the express purpose of crushing things. At night, you may PM Infection with “SSBM Night X: Bot USER”. By doing this you will send a Porky-Bot to your target, which will blow up and destroy any items your target has. Also, if _________ has died and there are no other killers, you may also PM Infection with “SSBM Night X: Charge USER”. You will charge at the target and kill them. However, you can only send one night action in per night so choose carefully. In addition, each day you may Vote in the gameplay thread, along with the rest of the players, to lynch a certain person. The target that gets the most votes to lynch will be killed. You win if the Subspace Emissary outnumbers the Challengers.

[SPOILER=ElectricSix's Role PM]

You are Captain Falcon. Your car is out of gas, and because of that you cannot help the Challengers by running over your enemies. However, your punches have become near-deadly thanks to the steroids you repeatedly inject yourself with. At night, you may PM Infection with “SSMB Night X: Falcon Punch USER”. Your target will be blown away by a speedy punch. Because you aren’t fisting to kill, however (haha), you will only hurt their mouth. As such, they will be unable to talk for the next day and night. If they do, they will die. Aim your punches carefully. In addition, each day you may Vote in the gameplay thread, along with the rest of the players, to lynch a certain person. The target that gets the most votes to lynch will be killed. You win if all threats to the Challengers are eliminated.

[SPOILER=Mephisto's Role PM]

You are Galleom, a deadly (?) robot thing. Monster. Cyborg. Tank. Anyway, _________ has recruited you to fight the Challengers. Your hugeness and mechanical might are of great usefulness to you in this endeavour. At night, you may PM Infection with “SSBM Night X: Shockwave USER”. In doing this you will send a shockwave to your target, stunning them. They will be unable to talk or act the next day as well as the next night. As well, if _________ has died and there are no other killers, you may PM Infection at night with “SSBM Night X: Missile USER”. This should be self-explanatory: you fire a bunch of missiles at your target and kill them. You can only send in one night action per night, though, so be careful. In addition, each day you may Vote in the gameplay thread, along with the rest of the players, to lynch a certain person. The target that gets the most votes to lynch will be killed. You win if the Subspace Emissary outnumbers the Challengers.

You are Yoshi, the lovable green dinosaur. Although it is widely accepted that you are male, you are capable of laying eggs by swallowing them. Maybe you’re female after all, and Birdo is actually the alpha male but anyway. This ability will be of great use as you aid the Challengers. At night, you may PM Infection with “SSMB Night X: Swallow USER”. You will swallow your target, and using your very sensitive taste buds, you will be able to learn of their abilities and affiliation in the form of their Role PM. Of course, you will also lay them in an egg. They’ll hatch in the morning, though. In addition, each day you may Vote in the gameplay thread, along with the rest of the players, to lynch a certain person. The target that gets the most votes to lynch will be killed. You win if all threats to the Challengers are eliminated.

[SPOILER=NoJobNoRules' Role PM]

You are Tabuu, ruler of all that is Subspace. You’re a figure of blue energy. That’s about it. But you’re incredibly powerful, and your might has allowed you to lead the Subspace Emissary in the fight to crush the Challengers. At night, you may PM Infection with “SSBM Night X: Shadow Bug USER”. This act will send Shadow Bugs to infiltrate your target. You won’t be able to control them, but if they die that night they will appear to be part of your team, effectively tricking the Challengers. In addition, if ________ has died and there are no other killers, you may PM Infection at night with “SSBM Night X: Golden Bracket USER”. You will transform into a pair of brackets composed of pure energy, kind of like { }. Then you will CRUSH THE ENEMY TO DEATH. Truly, you are credit to team. However, be careful as you may only send in one night action per night. In addition, each day you may Vote in the gameplay thread, along with the rest of the players, to lynch a certain person. The target that gets the most votes to lynch will be killed. You win if the Subspace Emissary outnumbers the Challengers.

[SPOILER=Nalek's Role PM]

You are Lucas, kid at large. Your buddy Ness isn’t here to be butt buddies with you, but hopefully you’ll be fine with the rest of the Challengers. You ran out of PK Power (also known as PP), so you can’t use any of your PKs. However, each day you may Vote in the gameplay thread, along with the rest of the players, to lynch a certain person. The target that gets the most votes to lynch will be killed. Good luck! You win if all threats to the Challengers are eliminated.

[SPOILER=Mira's Role PM]

You are Diddy Kong, the monkey with the Nintendo cap. You’re a bit out of sorts after Nana’s murder, but you should be fine given you don’t try to fight anyone. You still do want to help the Challengers’ cause, though, and thus they have invited you into the voting group (even though you’re more or less a kid). Each day you may Vote in the gameplay thread, along with the rest of the players, to lynch a certain person. The target that gets the most votes to lynch will be killed. You win if all threats to the Challengers are eliminated.

[SPOILER=MetaSeraphim's Role PM]

You are Wario, fart man. Mario hates you because you fart in his face all day, erry day. Because all you do is fart, though, you’re not of much use to the Challengers. Nevertheless, you do want the Subspace Emissary gone. Each day you may Vote in the gameplay thread, along with the rest of the players, to lynch a certain person. The target that gets the most votes to lynch will be killed. You win if all threats to the Challengers are eliminated.

[SPOILER=Derosis' Role PM]

You are Lucario, and the spike on your chest is a testament to how BADASS you are. As it is, though, you don’t need that spike. Because you’re super-fast, no one will notice when you attack them anyway. This will be essential to the Challengers' plight. During the day, you may PM Infection with “SSBM Day X: ExtremeSpeed USER”. By doing this you will punch them at well, extreme speed. Your target will be stunned and their vote nullified for the day. In addition, each day you may Vote in the gameplay thread, along with the rest of the players, to lynch a certain person. The target that gets the most votes to lynch will be killed. You win if all threats to the Challengers are eliminated.
