Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread

Eh I figured I'd make it easy and mark where I like to place them when I do AP Teemo. Which I should note is different than shroom placement on AD or AS Teemo. With them, you want them revealing the map, not getting blown up, so you're going to put them on corners and edges of things to get vision, not to have them explode mostly.

 Going Mid:

It should look approximately like this at all times. This is from the bottom perspective, but top is the same way, just in reverse. Any extra shrooms you have either go towards further warding the river, or if your lane has an annoying harasser, keeping them back out of mid by random placement in the center.

 Going Top:

Again, you want it to look this way as much as possible at all times. Your goal is to make the enemy hate going into the brush or attempting to gank you. Any time you have extra shrooms, head bot to ward up mid as much as possible to help them. The one at Baron isn't really necessary early on, but sometimes people will flee through there and flash up top, so you might catch someone that way.

 Going Bot:

Again, you want to keep it as much as possible like this at all times. Your goal is the same as at top, but because Dragon pops up earlier than Baron, most of your extra shrooms will be to keep an eye on it.

 Mid game, fairly even:

You probably won't have enough shrooms to ward everywhere on here, but your goal is to have a line of sight dividing the map in half. With that sight you should be able to see when and where the enemy is gathering, or where they're moving to at least. Any extra shrooms should either be used to fortify your defenses around your towers, or put in places to help your allies escape/hinder your enemies.

 Late game, blue team winning:

You are rapidly working to make the enemy afraid to venture into their jungle, and punish them if they chase you through it. Additionally covers your retreat should they make a push back. You probably can't cover the entire forest, but covering major interesctions/exits/entrances/buffs is what you're going for. You can put shrooms in their base, but they're usually wasted given the relatively easy trip back to the platform to heal.

 Late game, purple team winning:

Things may be looking down, but all isn't lost. If you have a backdoor person, you can still win it. Meanwhile, you'll be busy providing some defense. You want a good ratio of close shrooms, and far shrooms. By that, I mean you want some shrooms near the base of your tower/inhib for melee, and some further away for range/approaching melee. If they've already taken out all your towers, you may want to put a few further outside of your base to watch for enemy pushers/backdoors, but the key is to shore up your weakest spots with as many shrooms as possible. Usually you can successfully shroom one to two inhibs and keep anything short of all 5 of the other team from taking it out, with a few exceptions like TF, Sivir, or Yi. Though Yi would have a tougher time assuming your shroom placement is good, Sivir would have kind of average time of things, and TF has a relatively easy time of it if he ults in at the right spot.

Generally speaking, AP Teemo is all about using the Shrooms to keep your enemies on their toes. It's true they can buy an Oracle's to stop them, but that's what all that brush is for. Oracles only help if they aren't afraid to enter the brush after all. XP Your goal with your Shroom placement is to put them in places where they will be blown up frequently. Whether that means at a popular interesction, a buff, middle of a lane, etc. If things are going well for you, by late game you'll be above 500+ AP with ease, and killing all but the tanks easily. When you seem everyone on the other team rushing a Banshee's just to deal with you, you know you've got them scared. And being scared of Teemo is ideal because while they're busy scared of you, your team can make short work of them. I will say that AP Teemo is very much a late game champ though. His early to mid game is okay, and his mid game remains mostly average unless they've got a heavy amount of auto attackers like Yi or Ashe. Late game though, AP Teemo scares people pretty badly and can take on one to two people fairly easily with the right setup. He's still pretty squishy though, so no running into the middle of fights if at all possible, your goal is to pick out the squishies and end their existance post haste, whether directly or indirectly. *Fond rememberances of blowing up running away Ashe, Yi, etc.*
