In regards to "having fun", I'm just going to be shooting metal targets set up in a large field or go down the the firing range. I don't see a problem with that. As long as you practice gun safety, there shouldn't be a problem. Besides, what good is a firing range if you can't use it?
The problem is it is an absolutely unnecessary use of a deadly weapon and should not at all be allowable through law. And a firing range is no good if you can't use it. So get rid of the firing range.
