http://oldmanclub.co.cc/asps/act5/f_mech...GQNIDCCAAA is the build kersmack set up, allowing for my messed up points, but the builds seem to be taking different core moves, lvl 1 robotics vs lvl 10, no ancient memory vs lvl 10. Are the differences because of my misplaced points(which are fixed now) or just different opinions about a build?
IllegallySane Wrote:Hrmmmmm yeah. It'll be best to SP reset. The difference between level 1 Ancient Memory and level 1 Robotics versus max level is HUGE.
Let me start off with a basic formula for calculating weapon/magic strength in DFO: Every 250 STR/INT increases your total weapon/magic attack by 100% of your BASE weapon/magic strength. For example, if your gun is 100 magic strength and your INT is 0, your total magic attack is 100. If your INT is 250, your total magic attack is 200 (100 + 100*250/250 = 100+100=200). If your INT is 225, your total magic attack is 100 + (100 * 225/250) = 100 + 100*0.9 = 190 magic attack.
If you only take level 1 Robotics and Ancient Memory you're stuck with only +15 INT/+30 INT. That's barely a 6%/12% base damage increase.
Now onto why max Robotics and Ancient Memory are so strong:
Robotics/Ancient Memory adding +150 INT multiplies your base damage by 60%; for example, if your gun gives 400 magic attack you will gain an additional 240 magic attack. This pretty much makes your robots pack a bigger punch.
Each lasts 20 seconds, so you can always keep up a 60% base magic attack boost if you switch between Robotics and Ancient Memory. If you were to use both at the same time, you will gain a 120% base magic attack boost. For a 400 magic attack gun you'd gain 480 additional magic attack. If you use this at bosses or mini bosses expect life bars to fall like a rock. This is the equivalent of turning your robots from a sub-machine gun to a mini-gun.
Kersmack Wrote:Well, there was also a big difference because his was a level 60 build while mine was a level 50 build. If I had made mine a level 60 build it would have looked like this http://oldmanclub.co.cc/asps/act5/f_mech...BUSNBGHAAA which if you look carefully the only difference is you have level 1 gale force and your hodgepodge of skills compared to max gale force so you essentially spent that water just to get max gale force and everything else identical.
I don't mean to harp on it, I just wanted to continue on with my saying you really weren't that screwed to begin with.
Is this info still up to date? I just started playing again. I am lvl 27 with like 250ish sp and dont want to mess up again.
