Mircosoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error!
#1
Okay basically since I finally got an answer from my ticket and tried everything they said and the problem is still occuring, I'm coming to you guys now for help to see if you have any ideas or what I could do to fix this. All I'm going to do is copy the same stuff I said in my ticket and the response I got, any help is appreciated.

I sent: Ever since Resistance came out and I talk to Botoxie to change my face on my NightLord, when I click back once from the face called "Motivated Look" Maple will freeze and crash and I get an error that says "Mircosoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! Program: C:\Nexon\MapleStory\MapleStory.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.". And the exact same thing happens when I click next from the face called "Look of Wonder". Now when I do this on my Chief Bandit on the same account I don't get this error, so if you could look into this I'd appreciate it.

Their response: I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing difficulties with running MapleStory. Here are a few suggestions that might resolve your issue. If these tips don't help you please submit more information about your system and character and server he/she is on, and any error messages you got.

1) Close any extra applications before starting the game as they may interfere with our game clients. If you do not feel comfortable turning off your firewall or antivirus, we suggest configuring them appropriately to allow the game client to run.

2) Run a Virus/Spyware scan on your system to make sure that it is clean. Malicious programs can interfere with the game and compromise the security of your account.

3) Please make sure that you have DirectX 9.0c or better and that your video card drivers are up to date. More information about direct can be found in our "Game Download" section at Nexon.net/

4) For nVidia video card drivers: http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
For ATI video card drivers: http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

5) Please make sure that Windows is configured to allow the execution of the game client. To verify this, click on your Start menu, Control Panel, Performance and Maintenance (if applicable) and then double click on System. Select the Advanced tab and click settings in the performance section. Once there, select the Data Execution Prevention tab and make sure that the game client is added if the second option is selected. Also make sure to click Apply and Ok if you make any changes.

6) If all of the above solutions do not resolve the issue, I suggest that you re-download the game client and then reinstall it. For best results, I recommend that you delete the folder the game is in and any other related files or icons before you reinstall the game. You can download the game client from our "Game Download" Section at http://www.nexon.net/

For MapleStory you might also try:
A) If you have problems with the patcher, we suggest downloading our manual patcher from our "Game Download" section at http://maplestory.nexon.net/

B) If all you see is a black screen or you get disconnected every time you enter the game, browse to your MapleStory folder and run the "Setup.exe". You will be prompted with a question. Click NO and the setup will run through various frequencies and attempt to find one that works for your monitor. When you see the MapleStory image during the test, press ALT-H to notify the setup that you are able to see it. Outdated video drivers can also cause this; refer to #3.

C) If you have Windows Vista / Windows 7, right click on your MapleStory icon (not the desktop shortcut) and select properties. Once in the properties, click on the compatibility tab, check the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:", select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) from the drop down menu and click Apply. For best results, make sure to log on your computer as an administrator. While this solution will help MapleStory function under Windows Vista/ Windows 7, please remember that it is still not fully compatible.

I hope this information helps in resolving your issue.

Sincerely,

GM Meluda

Now including all of these solutions my friend told me to download Microsoft C++ Visual Studio 2010 Express and I did but still get the same error so IDK what else to do. Just some additional info, I am now currently on W7 Ultimate 64bit BUT I was getting the same error back when I was on WXP 32bit when I sent in this ticket.
