What's YOUR favorite little pony?

The series is written and animated well, but its the subject matter that people have a hard time getting past. TBH I'd rather see this kind of writing applied to a more "gender equal show" because this seems almost a waste.

I write on a lot of topics. None of it is "wasted" in my opinion. At the very least, it helps me articulate on subjects I wouldn't normally talk about. I've also commented on Glee if you want to check that out as a more "gender equal show."

Might be good, might even get a hell of a lot of rewards, but all in all they could have made something a hell of a lot better and I think that's why a lot of people are pissed.

Sorry for that gimp comment. I'm in the middle of class. To expand, Lauren Faust has already worked on: The Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and The Iron Giant. She has done work on Codename: Kids Next Door. She is being funded to animate this project because of her previous success. I'd much rather see her work as progressive rather than seeing this as the final product of her career. Could she have been working on another project? Again it is possible. However to assume that she could have animated another project in lieu of this one is a major assumption without looking at potential offers she may have/have not gotten. Does the MLP series steal any other notable animation producers that would have carried other projects? Again I do not know. All I do now is that MLP is an existing series and that its success should substantiate the series rather than detract from its value in order to be presented as a hypothetical alternative series x proposition.
