The only ting you actually have to go on is "it makes the game more difficult" which once again for like the hundreth time could have been done by a plot device of removing all of her upgrades.
Add the Space Federation Marines into the Space Station ruined the game even more. It removed a highly valued atmospheric quality to the game.
Isolationism.
Samus being alone having no worry about anyone or anything getting in her way. No Samus has to worry about these character who are usually or just getting in the way 99% of the time? Great. Having these guys put a plot hole. Why didn't Samus just ask Adam "Are any of these guys nearby? No? Dropping a Super Bomb." Even if it was so dangerous that it'd reach that far through the ship, I doubt the Super Missle would be a problem. Is it really that much a problem, then I doubt the Grappler Beam could honestly be THAT much of a danger.
What? Does the Varia Suit emit some sort of amazing radiation? Hell, if that was said I might, and that is a big might, have said that was a little OK but no. Nothing like that was ever said.
