I do agree that some points in the game, like with Ridley, were ridiculous with how things played out between Adam and Samus, but... Samus had to be limited in the game somehow. Just because it was done differently in Other M, it doesn't mean it's terrible. It's just different. I found it more enjoyable to have a different pace of things than to kill a boss, get an upgrade. It's like that in just about every single console game I've ever played. It's pretty redundant.
