I just bought Metroid : Other M for $13 Brand New

There is a gigantic difference with not having an upgrade and you having to find the room with it and having it from the start and not being able to use it because a douche behind a computer screen is telling you not to use your upgrade despite it being complete common sense to use it to avoid burning to death.

So, you want to have every upgrade from the start and over kill everything from the beginning? What fun is that?

I do agree that some points in the game, like with Ridley, were ridiculous with how things played out between Adam and Samus, but... Samus had to be limited in the game somehow. Just because it was done differently in Other M, it doesn't mean it's terrible. It's just different. I found it more enjoyable to have a different pace of things than to kill a boss, get an upgrade. It's like that in just about every single console game I've ever played. It's pretty redundant.
