Point is that it's the -first- single from the new album, and for it to be such a poor one it doesn't give much hope for the rest of the album. Singles are what attract people to the artist and buy the album in the first place; it's what's played on the radio, TV, etc.
It's the same thing as making a bad first impression because, well, that's what it is. The rest of the album -might- be decent or great, but right now it's starting off crappy.

Ugh! I've -always- hated hearing the word ''orient'', or ''oriental'', and I'm not even Asian whatsoever. Always seemed like such a terrible word since I relate it to images of those old time-y racists from, like, a hundred years ago or something.
