Supposedly a banned person isn't banned until he/she logs off. Basically kick the person off (pull the life support line) and they are banned (dead). Until they, they supposedly are hanging onto the game through the sheer fact they haven't logged off yet. If only GMs can also automatically kick people off the game once they are banned.
