Most def look into housing. You can probably get it really cheap if you shack up with a couple of guys from there. You can potentially save lots of money if you just leave your car at home and not pay for insurance, but you have to make sure you don't drive while you don't have any. How bad will the commute time be if there is traffic? I know my commute times vary between 45 mins. to 1.5 hrs. and it's not bad because I just play gameboy. This is taking trains mind you.
