help
#1
Please help me, Southperry. I've tried talking to friends and they don't really understand my situation, and neither does my dad so let's see if you guys can help me out

Earlier this week I got accepted into the only college that I applied to, University of Baltimore (or UB). This is arguably the best business/law school in the state and it ranks pretty well in the nation. This is significant because my GPA is terrible and I am a pretty lazy student with an average GPA that is below 2.7. I was pretty excited when I got the letter and my dad was thrilled, but here's the problem

My original plan never involved UB because I never thought I would get in and I only applied because my dad wanted me to (and I guess I wanted to but I just wasn't confident while applying). My plan was to go to the community college that is only five minutes away from our house and after two years, transfer to a university where I could earn the right credentials to be a successful member in the business world. With two years in community college I would have many other options for my last two years in college. The problem with this is that community college is a risk. If I go to UB, then that's it! I'm in the clear! If I go to community college, then it's kind of like high school meaning if I do bad then I'm F(UCKED

So you guys might be thinking "What reason is there to not go to UB"? Well, it's an hour away! How is that going to work?! UB is located in the center of Baltimore and there are no dorms, though they do provide "housing" (I haven't looked much into this, I guess I should) and I really wanted to stay at home while in college. I feel like I'm thinking irrationally but this really annoys me. If my house was located five minutes away from UB then I would be just fine with going there! I'm a student! I can't afford HOUSING, I can barely afford my own car insurance! I was thinking of buying a sport bike and having the bare minimum amount of insurance (You die either way), that way I get insane MPG and I can just zoom to school from home every day, but that might not even work! It's still an hour away!

I don't know. I'm still thinking about everything and it's all so sudden because this whole time I pictured myself in community college a year from now. But why go to community college now that I've been accepted into UB? I'll think of better ways to word all of this and post more later tonight. idk Southperry...
