And regarding morals and ethics:
First of all, Ethics is a branch inside morality, so let's just discuss morality. As opposed to common sense, morality is a set of beliefs that include the definition of what is right, what is wrong, what does that society in particular acknowledge as justice, ''sin'', etc., while common sense equates to the knowledge and experience which most people already have, or which that particular person believes that they do or should have.
It's pretty clear in the definition of common sense just straight out of Wikipedia:
Hell, morality is a way broader term that involves that particular person accepting that the previous concepts I mentioned are the ''right thing'' for the group he's living in.
For the first time in my life, I can see pros and cons to both sides of the argument, and of equal value. This is the one time I'd consider myself "on the fence".
Common sense can be argued to be the same as morals, in that, as a whole society tends to deem certain events/interactions acceptable and others not. You could argue that it's common sense to return the money if there's a person looking for money nearby, since as a whole society will agree that that person is most likely searching for something that they lost, and money is something a person would stop to look for if lost.
Morals are also something a society would agree upon as a whole, for the most part, with respect to something that is "right" or "wrong" as if to say that we should be able to logically deduce what the rest of the society would deem an acceptable action.
Sometimes it's hard to seperate the grey areas.
Crossing the street when the stop hand is lit up is something that common sense will deem wrong, as I'm sure everyone can agree it's stupid to cross at that time. There is no moral justification however.
Gay marriage (purely for example purposes) is something that is in that grey area. Some people state it's morally wrong because their church has told them their holy advisor (aka: God) has told them it is wrong. I personally call this blind faith, but within their society, since their rule set states it isn't OK, it's wrong (How they come to this conclusion is unbeknownst to me). Common sense states that it doesn't matter what reproductive organs 2 individuals possess in order for them to fall in love.
Overall I personally believe that morals are just common sense with a religious twist.
Any moral argument can be debated with common sense. The same can't be said for a common sense argument.
TL-DR: Common Sense > Morals
