Just wrote this on basil and now im going to share it with you guys here
For anyone that has a slow patcher try this:
go to c:/riot games/league of legends then find the launcher_config.xml
open with notepad
replace the global settings url line(not sure what this was before changing as i cant locate the thread telling you what to do, but it will start with globalsettingsurl)
with-: <GlobalSettingsUrl>http://ffs.solidstatenetworks.net/riotgames/riot-l3.ffs</GlobalSettingsUrl>
save in notepad.
I did this as my patcher used to take 2 hours to do patches, and now it takes around 5 minutes to patch. this may or may not work for you as i read its kind of hit and miss. I advise you to copy and paste the old code i told you to delete and save it in a notepad just in case it makes your patcher even slower, so that you can just go put the old code back in instead of having to reinstall the entire client.
